Rhonda L. Norman - Associate Professor, Department Chair
norman@xavier.edu Dr. Rhonda L. Norman is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Counseling at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. With more than 23 years of experience as a counselor educator and over 25 years as a career development practitioner, Dr. Norman brings a wealth of knowledge and real-world experience to career counseling and development. Her professional background spans career counseling and coaching, employee assistance and human resources, college counseling, community mentoring, and executive coaching. For the past 10 years, she has also served as an Executive Coach, working with executive physicians, nurses, educators, and other C-suite leaders. This breadth of experience has allowed her to support individuals across communities, organizations, educational settings, and executive leadership. For the past 15 years, Dr. Norman has taught Career Counseling and Development at Xavier University, helping future counselors understand career development as much more than choosing an occupation—it is an integral part of an individual’s overall well-being, identity, strengths, and life journey. At the heart of Dr. Norman’s work is a strengths-based, holistic approach.
